How to ride the trolley

  1. Arrive at your stop a few minutes early. Wait on the sidewalk where the operator can see you.

  2. As the trolley approaches, signal the operator that you wish to ride.

  3. Be ready with the exact change.

  4. Stay back from the curb and wait until the trolley comes to a complete stop. Then, board and pay your fare.

  5. The operator will announce major stops and intersections. If you are not familiar with the area, you can ask the operator to call out your destination.

For Your Safety

  • Riding at night? Wear light-clothing and carry a reflector or flashlight, so the operator can see you.

  • If you are traveling alone between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m., you can ask the operator to drop you off between stops. The operator will pull over at a safe place to let you off.

  • Never cross in front of a trolley, unless it is stopped at a red light

  • To report an emergency or a suspicious behavior or package, tell the operator right away or call 9-1-1.
